Pool Opens May 24th
Dear Members,
On behalf of the Waugh Chapel Swim Club, thank you for making the summer of 2007 safe and successful. We welcome you back for the 2008 season! We ended 2007 with our family BBQ, annual Board meeting, and election of new Board members. During the off season we had the pool re-surfaced/repaired, and the parking lot paved. Earlier in 2007, we purchased new signs, repaired the tennis courts, and purchased new furniture. Century Pools will be returning next year as our Management Company, and will again be providing lifeguard services. Despite the rising insurance premiums, utility costs, and labor costs, our general operating funds expenditures stayed under budget. To continue improving WCSC, while building a reserve fund, the Board of Directors voted to raise the fees just $25 for a total annual membership fee of $450. This is the first increase in over three years, and it will help us as we continue to pay down an utstanding mortgage and make modest improvements.We could use help getting the pool grounds ready for the season.You and your family are invited to a spring clean-up on Saturday May 10th at 9:00 AM. Parents can sign their children up for the swim and dive teams. We are looking forward to another fun and safe year. Visit www.wcswimclub.com for more information on all our activities. WCSC Pool Hours
The pool area will be open from 11:30AM until 8:30PM daily except during Anne Arundel County Public School days when the hours will be 1:00PM to 8:00PM Sunday – Thursday, and 1:00 – 8:30PM on Fridays.
