Letter from WCSC President Craig Bouchard

Letter from WCSC President Craig Bouchard

Greetings Members of the Waugh Chapel Swim Club,
I just wanted to send out a quick note informing everyone that I have officially taken over as President and led our first Board of Directors meeting on Oct. 9.
I truly want to emphasize to everyone that you are in good hands. The Board of Directors and I are committed to continuing on the path of change that started this past summer, and we are doing everything possible to regain your trust, regain your confidence, and ensure you are well taken care of for the 2019 pool season and beyond.
As you know, the club would not, and could not, run without the individuals who have volunteered their time to be on the Board of Directors. In the short amount of time I have been President, I have seen firsthand the number of hours and the dedication each board member continues to contribute, and I have been impressed with each and every one of them. I would ask that if you see any of our board members, that you stop and thank them for all of their hard work and dedication because I can assure you, your best interests and the success of this club are at the forefront of their minds.
Each summer is an opportunity for a fresh start. I believe the Board of Directors and I have a lot to offer the pool and the members. We are already working on plans to make 2019 one of the best summers to date. We are exploring new ideas and discussing improvements, and we plan to send an update newsletter sometime in the early months of the new year. We will be creating a “suggestion box” email account allowing members the opportunity to send us suggestions or even ask general questions. In the meantime, if you have any questions, concerns or suggestions, you can email me at craigbouchard5@yahoo.com, and I will answer them to the best of my ability or direct you to a specific board member who can best answer your questions.
Our goal is to be transparent with the membership and keep everyone informed. I believe communication is going to be key to the success of this club.
I want to thank the membership for putting its trust and confidence in us – together, we can make the 2019 pool season the best one yet.
Respectfully submitted,

Craig Bouchard
