Membership Information

The Waugh Chapel Swim Club season runs from Memorial Day weekend until the close of business on Labor Day. We now accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover as well as check and cash. There are three ways to become a member of the Swim Club:

Currently we have NO Permanent Memberhsips Available

This includes the cost of the bond ($500) plus this years pool maintenance fee of $200 (This discount is only available for bonds purchased directly from WCSC). As a permanent member you are an owner of one (1) share of Waugh Chapel Swim Club. As such, you are entitled to all rights and privileges of the Club as defined in the Waugh Chapel Swim Club, Inc., Articles of Incorporation, By-laws, rules and regulations. Each subsequent year your membership is retained by payment of the pool maintenance fee of $450.00. The bond is transferable (see below). Please go to our forms page for this form. Print two (2) copies and mail both endorsed copies with a $700 (or 2 payemnts of $350.00) credit card or a check made payable to Waugh Chapel Swim Club, Inc. One copy will be returned to you with your Bond.

Annual Memberships are $600.00 for the Season

This membership is a one-time opportunity and is not renewable for a second season. Annual members are not owners of any shares of Waugh Chapel Swim Club. Annual members have full use of the facilities of the Club, both swimming and tennis, during the season. This membership is not transferable.

Annual memberships are prorated to $475.00 after July 1. Annual memberships are never less than the maintenance fee for permanent members.

At the end of the season there MAY be an opportunity to convert to a permanent membership, IF AVAILABLE. An example of how this is done as follows: Permanent Membership $950. Less $600 (paid as annual member) leaves a balance due of $350.00. Then beginning the next season you are responsible for the yearly pool maintenance fees. One copy will be returned to you.

Transferring a Membership

If you are trying to sell/transfer your membership you need to advertise the membership for sale in your local paper. The pool does NOT buy back memberships. Download and complete TWO (2) copies of the Transfer Membership Agreement. The 1st copy is to be given to the purchaser. The 2nd copy is to be mailed to WCSC P.O. Box 212 Gambrills, MD 21054 including (a) Original Bond (if possible) AND (b) A check made payable to WCSC for the $50.00 transfer fee. New members will be mailed their Bond and maintenance fee bill when the transfer is approved. NOTE: All transfers must be completed by MAY 1, or the original member is responsible for the annual maintenance fee.

Family Membership Form

All members whether Permanent or Annual must have a current family membership form on file at the pool or they may not enter the facility. Please click here to download this form.

Family Membership definition: I/We certify that all members listed on the “Family Membership Form” live at the address of record and are members of my immediate family.  I/We, also, understand that Waugh Chapel Swim Club, Board of Directors may require proof of this family relations and I/We agree to furnish such proof when a request if made by the Waugh Chapel Swim Club, Board of Directors.

Example of Immediate Family Membership: 

Parent 1, Parent 2, Children1, 2, 3, 4, etc., Nannies/AuPairs (must reside in the house address of record), Babysitters, Grandparents, Grandkids, or Niece’s/Nephew’s (must reside in the house address of record).

If you do not fall into the above example then an extended quest pass must be applied for.
